I’m Bernadette, a full-time Paralegal working at a law firm by day and an energetic, creative freelance makeup artist with a true passion for the beauty industry. As the proud owner of Beauteous Eyes, based in Pretoria, I specialise in makeup for a range of events and special occasions, including weddings, matric farewells, model portfolios, styled photoshoots, workshops, and transformational makeovers, to name a few. I completed my professional makeup course at Halouw Make-up Academy and have continued to expand my knowledge through various additional courses to stay up to date with the latest trends. I continually refine my skills by practising, testing, and perfecting my craft with clients and volunteers of all ages, skin tones, and preferences.
I constantly update my techniques to stay in line with the latest trends and exclusively use high-end products in my studio. These premium products deliver exceptional results, especially when paired with lighting and professional photography. They create a natural look while enhancing your most flattering features. The quality of these professional products ensures your makeup stays flawless all day so that you can feel confident and beautiful from start to finish!
I initially taught myself nail techniques by observing closely and asking countless questions, learning from the talented nail artists around me, never imagining where that curiosity might lead. Over time, I settled into the comfort of simply having my nails done without much thought. When the need arose to offer this service, Bronwyn reminded me it was time to step forward. I took the initiative to conduct extensive research and complete the required training, and in April 2025, I proudly qualified in the Salon Professional Acrylic Course at Yobe Beauty. This journey has been both exciting and deeply rewarding, and I’m genuinely looking forward to what this year holds for Beauteous Eyes. Bronwyn Wagenaar
Bronwyn is not only our qualified Brow Specialist specialising in Elite brows and colour correction (PMU), but she also excels in lash extensions, creating stunning classic, hybrid, and volume sets. She also offers relaxing facials, micro-needling, chemical and algae peels, dermaplaning, makeup, hairstyling, Brazilian blowouts, spray tans, and more.
In addition to her expertise, Bronwyn is also the salon manager, overseeing all the daily operations and ensuring everything runs smoothly. While we don’t accept walk-ins for safety reasons and only work by appointment, Bronwyn is at the salon daily. She also sells essential jewellery and hairpieces and has more exciting products this year.
Bronwyn recently married the love of her life, and we were thrilled about her wedding. She is deeply passionate about what she does and makes every client feel truly special in her unique way. If you don’t know her, you might mistake her for being “stuck-up” or high maintenance, but once you take the time to get to know her, you’ll quickly see how warm, caring, and down-to-earth she is.
